Saltaire United Reformed Church
Sophie and Liam exchanged their vows in one of the most beautiful Victorian architectural gems – Saltaire Reformed Church. The church was built by Sir Titus Salt in 1859 and is a remarkable place of heritage and worship featuring so many architectural splendours externally and internally. There is no denying this church is beautifully crafted but its is also filled with positivity and love. Rev Caroline Andrews is so welcoming and delivered such a heartfelt ceremony for Sophie and Liam. Although it was grey and raining outside the atmosphere in the church was so bright and warm. The scene was set perfectly when Sophie walked down the aisle with her father to the gospel choir signing Beyonce’s Halo.
Victoria Hall, Saltaire
After the ceremony we dodged the rain to get some beautiful portraits in the picturesque bandstand at the park before heading to another of Sir Titus’ beauties – Victoria Hall. The Hall opened shortly after the church in 1871 for a place of recreation, culture and learning. The building is flooded with light and character with double storey windows. The pastel colours of the walls also complimented Sophie’s rose gold theme perfectly.
Sophie’s bridesmaids all wore different metallic sequinned dresses while the groomsmen looked super smart in black suits with bow ties. Liam rally did look the dapper groom in his cream suite and velvet bow tie.
