Aimee and Dave – The Pheasant – Harome

I aren’t one for writing big blog posts as I find them a bit cheesy and I am far better with images than words, however I do have to say that I was so delighted when Aimee and Dave asked me to capture their day. I had previously met Aimee and been recommended to her by her fabulous friend and bridesmaid Fiona whose wedding I shot a few years ago and since then Fiona’s sister Nicola’s wedding last year. I really do love these ladies and we are definitely all on the same wave length. When Aimee and Dave were telling me about their plans for their day it sounded right up my street and the kind of relaxed country village wedding I love. (Aimee and I were super excited about an old dilapidated shed and field I had found for some pics, I just knew we were reading from the same page!)

The ceremony took place at the lovely village church in Harome and the Vicar was very kind and let me take pictures from the front of the church (this is not always the case in all churches and I have lost count of the times the Priest or Vicar hasn’t allowed any photography of the ceremony!) After the ceremony we headed back to the country chic hotel The Pheasant  with its award winning restaurant. The Pheasant also has a beautiful terrace that over looks the village duck pond where guests were able to enjoy drinks before their amazing wedding breakfast. While the food was being served the sun came out to created a gorgeous golden hour so I quickly sneaked Aimee and Dave off for a few images, if you are lucky enough to get a golden hour its so worth taking advantage of this kind of light….amazing. Thanks again Aimee and Dave, what a fabulous day .

The beautiful blooms were by Kate Ward at Louise Florist in Scarborough and Aimee’s make up was by Anna from Number One Health and Beauty in Malton.
