Robin Hoods Bay Wedding
Robin Hoods Bay is a favourite of mine, the rooftops and cobbled streets so quaint and charming. I spent many a weekend with my friends in Robin Hoods Bay when I was growing up. It was so nice when locals Sophie & Mark asked me to capture their day in this most idyllic setting.
Family and friends celebrated with Sophie and Mark at a beautiful private family garden just nested off the beaten track at the bottom of the bank. The garden was brought back to life by the couple, ready to host such a romantic day. We are talking some serious hard work with a whole lot of love. The true local bay spirit of community ever present.
After the wonderful ceremony at St Stephens church the mist began to clear and sunshine greeted us. Making our way down the infamous Bay bank to the garden was so much fun. It was compulsory to hitch a ride in Paddy’s beautiful old car jumping out at the local pub the Laurel. Strolling the little alleys with Sophie and Mark was extra magical as this is where the couple had both spent their childhood. The air was definitely filled with nostalgia and good old fashioned romance. Also shouting out to Sophie and Mark who marched up the cliff path with me to get some shots with that fabulous view.
