North Yorkshire Wedding Photography

North Yorkshire is probably one of  my favourite landscapes, with the ever changing moorland and valleys that surround, the views are just breathtaking and it is always a massive treat to photograph. Katie and James married in the quaint Methodist chapel in Lealholm village where the minister gave a really lovely ceremony.  This was the same chapel Katie’s parents were married in 30 years pervious so it really did have that special feeling. After the ceremony Katie, James and I headed along the country lanes to one of the best view points overlooking the valley where Katie grew up, the sun lighting the landscape and the wind blowing, while we enjoyed the view and crafted some gorgeous portraits. We then headed back to the extremely beautifully decorated marquee on James’ field which over looks Whitby. The pretty details were endless from the large milk churns brimming with florals, to the jam jars of sweet treats and delicate blooms and a stunning wedding cake lovingly made by Katie’s Aunty. The whole space looked incredible, and outside a game I have never come across before that involves hammering nails into a large piece of wood – which brought out the competitive nature, oh and the hay bail wrestling ha 😉

Katie looked stunning in her Cymbeline of Paris dress with its soft lace detail it really looked effortless stylish. The very pretty traditional marquee was by Wills Marquee if anyone is looking for a stunning marquee.

The Fallen who I have seen a number of times this year played on the evening and certainly got the party started. Here is a very small selection of images from Katie & James’ day captured on film and digital photography.
