It was such a pleasure to capture Laura and Stuarts magical day and see so many familiar faces. Laura and Stuart are such a friendly, warm, fun loving couple. Their relaxed country wedding in North Yorkshire really was picture perfect.
Lealholm quaint Methodist church
The ceremony was held at the pretty picture post card village Lealholm. Stuarts parents, sister Katie and husband James were all married at the same church. It really was even more special that Stuart and Laura exchanged vows here. This small methodist church has that kind, warm hearted feeling when you walk in. The sun streaming through the windows gave it that extra sparkle for the happy couple. The church is also set on the banks of the River Esk with the famous stepping stones joining the village. Before heading off from the church we had to have a picture on the stones not least for Stuart mums collection.
Sperry Tent
After the ceremony the newly weds hoped into a cute soft top white Beetle from Lovedubcars and headed up to the moors. We stopped for some shots over looking Stuart and Laura home. There is something so special about the views up on the moors. Over looking the valleys and pretty villages, no matter what the weather its just so beautiful and has a sense of deep peace.
We headed back to the coast after the moors to the beautiful traditional poled Sperry Tent by PapaKata sat over looking my home town of Whitby across to stunning Sandsend beach. Guests relaxed enjoying drinks, playing garden games (some serious swing ball action) and chatting while taking in the most glorious views. The Sperry not only looked perfect on the outside, it was lovingly decorated on the inside. Rustic florals hung from the canopy and typically English florals adorned the tables. Being an animal lover myself I particularly liked the centre pieces with pictures of all of their animals….pigs, chickens, dog and I do believe they have sheep now which were a wedding present!
Before the dancing started I could see the sun pushing its way through the clouds – golden light – the perfect end. Thank you Laura and Stuart for trusting me and heading over to the field for the last few rays.
Shout out to Jackie and John too who have the beautiful farm and cottages where the sperry tent was pitched.
