North East Wedding Photography- Alix & Scott
Growing up and meeting in the small north east fishing town of Hartlepool Scott & Alix wanted to feel that connection with their heritage and home on in their wedding. Living in a small fishing town myself I felt that appreciation too and connection for the wild and rugged North sea coast line, seagulls and endless horizons, warm beach days, blustering walks with the North sea salty air.
After exchanging heartfelt vows at the beautiful church in Hartlepool we had a quick wander down to the harbour to capture a few portraits before heading off to the Tontine for a super relaxed wedding breakfast with delicious food. Guests enjoyed the early autumn garden at the Tontine while dining on delicious food and sipping exquisite cocktails.
Alix & Scott clearly have such a brilliant and close collection of friends. The speeches affirmed this deep friendship with many a hilarious tale form the best man who had everyone in stitches. I really loved capturing the fun party spirit at this wedding but also the fun, relaxed, loving portraits between the gorgeous couple.
Some really kind feedback from Alix & Scott
“For our wedding pictures, we wanted very natural, simple but arty & romantic photography. We wanted shots documenting the day rather than formal set ups. As I had a particular style in mind I was worried a photographer would be difficult to find. Then we came across Georgina Harrison. Not only is she uber talented but she was also an absolute pleasure to have there on the day. She was super organised and professional but also fun. It was as if she was a guest (I think a few of them thought she actually was. Sorry about that, Georgina!). She has captured everything we wanted and more. Lots of laughter and everyone having fun.”
