Newburgh Priory
Newburgh Priory stands proud in the magnificent Howardian Hills near Coxwold, North Yorkshire. It has the most amazing grounds and Augustinian priory, which was founded in 1145. The beautiful stone ruins of the priory with pretty English roses climbing the walls makes for the most stunning romantic setting. Taking in the breath taking views the White Horse at Kilburn can also be seen in the distance, its absolutely no surprise Cordelia and James decided to host their special day in this most picturesque family estate, Newburgh Priory.
After a small spell of rain the sun shone for us on this quintessentially pretty English wedding. Cordelia radiated beauty in her gorgeous lace dress and James looked dapper in his tails.
The marque was lovingly decorated with personal touches and some of the most beautiful florals I have seen. Large peonies , roses and splashes of corals were the colours of the day. Cordelia’s bouquet smelt so fragrant with notes from the prettiest of honeysuckle. Guests were treated to delicious food and hand picked wine and champagne.
We had the very lovely Helen on hand all day from Hel’s Bells Yorkshire Wedding Planning who was absolutely brilliant making sure every detail was perfect and everyone was well looked after.
What a beautiful day, shout out to UK film lab who process all my film. Also big thank you to Lisa over at The Wedding Affair , an invaluable resource for couples sourcing the very best in the wedding industry and is also where Cordelia found my work.
