‘My husband and I got married on 20 October 2019. We were engaged in April 2019 so we didn’t have long to plan our wedding and we wanted to do it on a a restricted budget. We looked for photographers in the Yorkshire area and we stumbled across Geogina’s work. We both immediately loved how her images were both at once timeless and classic but also deeply intimate and emotive. We got in touch with Georgina and she was extremely open and upfront with us both in terms of her ascetic and method of working on the day, but also about cost (which we really appreciated).

The communication was great leading up to the wedding, from dealing with our incessant questions or nerves over the weather forecast. Every single time we contacted her, Georgina was responsive, friendly and supportive with us.

We both instantly liked Georgina. She is extremely professional and you get the sense she absolutely knows what she is doing which massively puts you at ease – needless to say your mind is on other things on your wedding day! The great thing about Georgina is she just fits right in, she was quietly helpful in the morning arranging my veil or offering a comforting word when I was starting to feel nervous about to go into the ceremony.

Our friends and family loved her and felt she was always in the background capturing everything. In my (albeit limited) experience, a lot of wedding photographers say they are ‘reportage’ or ‘documentary’ style but they still need to set up and frame a shot which can really detract from your enjoyment of the day. Georgina actually does just quietly observe. She gets that perfect natural shot so you don’t have to be taken away from your guests for any length of time or have those personal moments interrupted.

The photos were sent to us promptly after the wedding in a beautiful box – no detail overlooked. We were both deeply moved when we went through them. Like a lot of women, I am quite self critical and have high expectations about how things should look (I’m working on this!) and the photos exceeded all my hopes. The photos are absolutely stunning – in large part because they capture the mood in the room with real warmth and intimacy.

It’s not an exaggeration to say that we have had the most lovely comments on the photos and lots of requests for prints! This review may sound a bit over the top and gushy (maybe I should have married Georgina lol) but it’s accurate. More than one person has said to us that they are the best wedding photos they have seen. We are really grateful for what Georgina was able to capture – memories the whole family can look back on for years to come and just her calming and reassuring presence throughout the wedding.’
