The Hospitium York
Its always such a pleasure to capture weddings at the Hospitium York. The ancient beautiful building is nestled in the heart of York museum gardens and is such a unique venue. It dates back to the 14th century. Inside has gorgeous stone pillars where couples can exchange vows and outside the stunning gardens. Gemma & Tom choose this very special place to celebrate with their family and friends.
York is such a wonderful and historic city and the museum gardens are always such a joy to shoot in. The gardens are meticulously maintained with seasonal blooms and ancient trees. Winding paths leading down to the river Ouse or up to St Marys Abbey ruins. These gardens really are worth a visit.
I loved being part of Gemma and Tom’s amazing day capturing all the love and candid natural moments. These moments of joy and emotion between couples and their guests are always some of my favourites.
We were also lucky to get some amazing golden light while we wondered the pretty gardens and taking in the ancient ruins of St Mary’s Abbey.
