Grays Court Wedding Photography

York is probably one of my favourite cities in the UK, for me its just such a treasure, rich in history and architecture. Megan and Dan choose this beautiful city to host their big day and said their vows in the breathtaking Grays Court.

Grays Court

Grays court is such an absolute gem situated with in the shadow of the Minster, inside the city walls. It is rich in colourful history and said to date back to as early as 1080. After being purchased by custodians Helen and John in 2005 it has been lovingly restored. I remember visiting Grays when it first reopened to the public and thinking just how special it was. Not only is it sensitively restored it has the most wonderful private garden just inside the minster walls. It is a tranquil retreat in the heart of the city. If you love gardens its is a must, you can sit peacefully watching the world go by and listen to the chimes of the Minster bells.

Megan and Dan had a chic beautiful day with their close friends and family, enjoying the beautiful surrounds while sipping the finest wines and champagne. We took the chance to take some beautiful portraits on film – I love traditional film, it has an inherent quality and renders colour beautifully.
