Broadfield Court Editorial – The Artists Muse

Beautiful Broadfield court, Herefordshire was host for this dreamy editorial.

Kate Cullen is an amazing stylist and artist who has such amazing creative vision so I was delighted when she got in touch to work together. I also got to work with some of the industries most creative and talented in their field. Anyone who knows me knows just how much I adore florals and Tammy from Wildbunch is just amazing. Not only can she bring to life the most artful installation but she also grows most of the flowers on her farm. I mean have a look at those roses!T

The Artist’s Muse – Down by the Water’s Edge

Inspired by the paintings of John William Waterhouse and Hans Zatzka we wanted to create scenes as if through the artist’s eyes. A mix of sultry romantic poses, lily ponds, sumptuous tones and props, and heavenly Dutch-masters style florals and fruits, combined yellow and peachy pink tones for something a bit more daring as a wedding palette. The bridal look from Jessica Turner designs is perfect for relaxed brides looking to add a touch of the bohemian, with effortless lines, fun details and a touch of colour. With hair and make up by Jennifer’s dressing table echoing this feel – natural but a little bit sexy too!

Unique vintage jewellery from Agnes Walker adds the perfect final touches, and might echo a bride’s desire to incorporate her own heirloom jewellery rather than opting for more traditional wedding accessories. The florals, just picked from Tammy’s the Wild Bunch flower farm are wild and free, offering the best of the summer blooms and hedgerow jewels. The floral installation  would be the perfect asymmetric backdrop to a wedding ceremony, and is particularly beautiful in our venue of Broadfield Court with its expansive gardens and incredible vistas. It was fun to use yellow and peach tones throughout the florals especially – colour combinations sometimes not embraced as much we think it could be for weddings. The unique stationery designs from Laura E Patrick combined the art works that were the inspiration for the shoot, as well as her own original poetry, hand lettered and illustrated components – all completely versatile and beautiful works of art in themselves. The table set up with layers created through plant dyed linens and ribbons from Kate Cullen, mixed with the beautiful nature-inspired ceramics from Julie Reilly would make great additions to any grazing tables for foodie obsessed couples.
