Fine Art Weddings
A beautiful May wedding in one of my favourite venues in York – The Hospitium. The Hospitium is a medieval treasure set in the grounds of the museum gardens overlooking St Mary’s Abbey ruins. The Hospitium is set over two floors and the stunning ground floor with stone pillars is one of the most romantic settings to say your vows. The gardens and ruins really do make for a picture perfect setting.
Alison wore a stunning J Crew gown which looked so pretty paired with her amazing floral crown – effortless and chic. Alison choose lots of wild soft florals to adorn the venue which really created the laid back bohemia summer chic look. John looked super smart in his wool navy uniform and the couple choose to tie this with an elegant cornflower blue running through the day.
We were blessed with glorious weather and anyone who has visited Yorks museum gardens will know how many stunning areas there are to relax in. With June just around the corner I choose to take some fine art wedding portraits of Alison and John in a small area that is kept quite wild and ever changing in the middle of the gardens over looking the Hospitium. May and June months are the time for Cow Parsley which is a pretty and rustic with small white flowers. I loved how this complimented Alison’s ideas for the relaxed, romantic feminine look and combined with some beautiful analogue film looked dreamy.
